awards
The purpose of the committee shall be to administer the awards process and elect recipients for annual Virginia AHPERD Awards.

finance & events
The purpose of the Finance & Events Committee is to:

Finance: Prepare and manage the Association’s operational budget by reviewing requests for funds made by the board of directors, councils, committees, and individuals to ensure sound financial practice and fiscal responsibility.

Events: Secure bids from hotels for upcoming conventions and present those bids to the board of directors for site selection, ensuring cost efficiency and alignment with association needs.

Grant
The purpose of the committee shall be to review all grant applications and award grant money to those Virginia AHPERD members who have met the requirements specified in each grant application.

Membership
The purpose of the committee is to encourage and enlist membership in the association, disseminate information to the membership concerning goals promoted by the association, and to serve as a liaison between the board of directors and the membership.

nominating
The purpose of the nominating committee shall be to present a slate of officers for the President-Elect, the Vice President-Elects, Regional Representatives, and Advocacy Representative of the association. The election of officers will occur at the annual meeting of the Representative Assembly (RA).

strategic planning
The purpose of the committee is to gather input and ideas from division and council leadership and members and translate them into a cohesive, forward-looking plan for the Association. The committee will also develop and recommend both short- and long-term strategic initiatives to the Board of Directors for consideration.

Structure & Function
The purpose of the Structure and Function Committee shall be to evaluate and prepare recommendations on proposed changes in the Constitution and By-Laws of the Association and the Operating Codes of Division, Councils, and Committees.
